"I just received the vests today.  Thank you so much for the donation. My team members are very happy and feel a lot better doing the job we do.  Please keep us in mind if you find any ballistic plates or any other gear that is used for SWAT or SRT Teams.  I will be working on spreading the news about your program to the Northwest."

"As a reserve deputy and aviation officer, we offer our services (and aircraft and gas) free of charge to the citizens of our county, with no financial support from the county, and for no financial gain to ourselves. What a blessing that a ministry like yours can help us give back to our community and do so safely. God bless you and your congregation !!  We are often called upon to go into the worse neighborhoods to supplement the certified deputies, and ballistic vests provide a tremendous measure of safety we would not otherwise have. For as often as we might find ourselves wearing them, very serviceable used vests are much better than no vest at all."

"Hi. This is a real blessing. I've been praying for something like this. Have gone 2 years without a vest but can't really afford one.   Cost so much for all the other stuff. I will send a donation to your ministry if you can help me. God bless you and I use this job as a ministry. When I have you in custody it's a great time to share Jesus. "What you have done unto the least of these you have done unto me". I try to make sure they see Jesus in me. God has been good to me and protected me so far but maybe now I need extra help. Only God knows for sure. Thanks again so much. A brother in Christ."

"Hello Clint; I received the vest today, as promised.  I can think of no other noble endeavor than your service in helping police officers stay safe.  In my state, we've lost 6 police officers to gunfire violence this year.  At least four others have sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

As you know, I support the full-time employees of the _______ County Sheriff's Department.  These are a terrific group of guys,  who patrol some 1180 square miles of mostly rural farmland.  There are rarely more than four deputies on duty and often, less.  Being kitted out with a ballistic vest helps me feel more protected, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I wish you continued success in your Project and will do all I can to quietly publicize the existence of this noble enterprise."

Mr. Reck,  I would like to thank you for your assistance in helping me obtain a bullet proof vest.  Last night I received a phone call from my wife letting me know I had received a package through the mail.  I asked my wife to open the package and found that it was a brand new bullet proof vest.  My wife was unaware of this and asked me if I had bought it and with what funds.  I explained to her what the Armor of God Project was and she was very excited.  You along with everyone involved in the Armor of God Project have made me and my family very grateful.  Today I patrolled the streets feeling more confident and knowing that if a situation arises, I have a much better chance of going home to my family.  On behalf of myself and all my family, I would like to thank you.  God bless.

I work in a town of 1300 with 6 officers.  Two of us wear vests due to size and comfort but our vests are old and worn out and expired only held together by safety pins and duct tape.  Our budget does not allow the department to buy new vests and like most small town departments we do not make enough to buy our own.  A hand-me-down is what I had and I do not mind another as long as it is in better condition than the one I have.  It would be very appreciative if you could help me.  I do thank you.  God bless and be safe out there.

We are a small department with only two full time Officers and eight Reserve Officers. The Chief and I are required to purchase all our own equipment including bullet proof vests. Between us two full time Officers we average 100 traffic stops a month on a very busy four lane interstate highway. Any help your organization may provide would be greatly appreciated, and the equipment will be used immediately.  THANK YOU!!

My name is Antonio and I am employed as a Peace Officer with the _______ Police Department in Texas.  The Department where I work at is fairly small and does not provide the officers with any bullet proof vest.  I am currently working the patrol division and I'm assigned to work evenings.  At times, as I'm patrolling, I feel very uncomfortable due to knowing that if a situation arises, I could end up getting hurt and I may not be able to see my family again.  The area where I'm working at is very close to the Mexico Border and we have seen an increase in crime associated with drug trafficking, gang activity, and arising threats from the drug cartels.  I'm married with two small children (5 and 6 years old) and they mean the world to me.  By me being able to obtain a bullet proof vest, I will feel a whole lot safer and would keep my wife's mind at rest.  Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

"I am a reserve officer who volunteers and is out of paid work. Even though I have medical problems with my legs that causes pain I am able to give 20+ free hours to this struggling community ever month. I drive 94 miles round trip each time I go in. I spent my last saving to pay for my duty equipment but I have no money for a ballistic vest. I was a certified police officer 18 years ago and after 5 years I went into the insurance industry. Even though I am 50, since I was laid off from my insurance job in 2007 I sat around thinking about my foot pain. I prayed I would feel better, but my prayer was answered by volunteering as a police officer again to help the community and take my mind off the pain. I really could use a nice thin vest. That is my prayer."

"Since graduating  from the academy almost a year ago I have been working for a local police department without a ballistic vest. Due to extremely tight budgets my department is unable to provide ballistics vests for their officers, nor are they able to provide any sort of reimbursement. Immediately after graduating from the academy I was fitted for a vest but after purchasing all of my other required gear, uniforms and duty weapon finances did not allow for the purchase of a vest. Thanks to our friends at Wives Behind the Badge for facilitating me getting a ballistics vest thru Ten Four Ministries. On April 16th at 4pm Tom, a NYS trooper and Board Member for Ten Four Ministries hand delivered my new ballistic vest. It is such a  relief for both myself and my fiance, Sarah (WBTB Member) to know that I have the protection I need. I am extremely grateful for Ten Four Ministries and Wives Behind the Badge without all those involved I would still be working without a vest.

Thank you Wives Behind the Badge and Ten Four Ministries for everything that you do to support our families."

"I recently read about your program in the Law Officer magazine.  I think you have a really great program.  I am currently issued a vest by my department however it is a old military vest that is designed to be worn outside the uniform more like a SWAT team vest.  It is a very rigid and bulky vest.  I am very appreciative of the fact that I have a vest at all.  However I would like to get one that is more designed to be worn under the uniform.  I currently own another vest that I have had for some time that is two small for me, I would like to donate it to your program.  Again I understand that you are trying to outfit officers that do not have a vest at all.  If you think it would be possible I would like to donate my small vest and possibly receive a correct sized vest from your program. "
